How we compute it
- Every team has a rating in points of margin, fitted on the 46 games of this season; home court is worth 1.6 points.
- Ratings are pulled toward the average as if each team had 6 more games against an average team ending level, so a short run does not count for too much.
- A game ends around the expected margin with a spread of 10.1 points (normal law); the chance of winning comes from there.
- We play the rest of the season 10,000 times: the regular season with the tie-breaks of the rules, then the whole bracket. Each run also redraws the ratings within what we know about each team.
- The rules only say the better-placed team hosts the deciding game of a series; for games not yet in the fixture we assume the order 2-2-1 (2-2-1-1-1 in the final).
- Points scored are not simulated: if a tie-break gets that far, it is drawn at random.

How the season works
- Regular seasonThe 18 teams play each other home and away, 34 games each (the rules call it the Serie Regular). A win is worth 2 points, a loss 1.
- ReclasificaciónA play-in round. Teams 5th to 12th play best-of-5 series: 5th-12th, 6th-11th, 7th-10th, 8th-9th. The winners are re-ordered by their regular-season place.
- Quarter-finalsTeams 1st to 4th wait there. The pairs are 1st-8th, 2nd-7th, 3rd-6th, 4th-5th, also best of 5.
- Semis and finalSemi-finals are best of 5: the winner of the first quarter-final plays the winner of the fourth, the second plays the third. The final is best of 7.
- Play OutThe bottom teams (17th and 18th) play a best-of-5 series. The loser goes down to La Liga Argentina, the tier below.
What each place leads to
| Place | What comes next | Series |
|---|---|---|
| 1st to 4th | Quarter-finals, straight in | Best of 5 |
| 5th to 12th | Reclasificación | Best of 5 |
| 13th to 16th | Season over | – |
| 17th and 18th | Play Out against relegation | Best of 5 |

Questions
How many teams play the 2026/27 Liga Nacional?
18, in a single table. The rules say this number is an exception for this season.
Who is relegated?
The loser of the Play Out between the 17th and 18th teams of the regular season, a best of 5. It goes down to La Liga Argentina; the winner ends its season and stays in the Liga Nacional.
How are the chances worked out?
Each team has a rating built from this season's point margins, plus the edge of playing at home. We simulate what is left 10,000 times, with the tie-breaks and the playoff bracket of the rules. The more games played, the firmer the ratings.
What is the Reclasificación?
The first round of the postseason, a play-in: teams 5th to 12th play best-of-5 series and the winners meet teams 1st to 4th in the quarter-finals.
Who plays at home in a series?
The better-placed team has home court: if the series goes the distance, it hosts the last game. The order of the other games is not in the rules: for games not yet in the fixture we assume 2-2-1, and 2-2-1-1-1 in the final. That is our assumption.
How often is it updated?
The table and the fixture are read from the league's site once an hour. If the source stops answering and the data gets old, the page says so and hides the numbers.
