Key words
- Window
- The tournaments that count for the promedio. Every year the oldest season drops out and the new one comes in.

- Igualdad
- Two exactly equal promedios. If it happens on the relegation spot, a tiebreak game is played.
Questions
Do playoffs count for the promedio?
No. Only regular-phase games of each tournament in the window count.
How many tournaments go into the promedio?
6: from Copa de la Liga 2024 to Clausura 2026. A newly promoted club counts only the tournaments it played in the top flight. The window comes from the press and matches our data: the regulation points to the AFA statute, which we could not find published.
What happens to the promedio next season?
The oldest season drops out, with its two tournaments. We assume the window starts with Apertura 2025 until the new rules come out.
Is the promedio the only way down?
No. The last club of the annual table also goes down. See where things stand in relegation.
