The rules

  • Apertura champion against Clausura champion, one game.
  • If one club wins both tournaments, the two runners-up play a tie-break game on Wednesday, December 16 for the other place.
  • Draw after 90 minutes: 30 minutes of extra time, then penalties.
  • The league picks the neutral ground; the better placed club in the annual table is the organising home side.

What if the Apertura champion also wins the Clausura?

The two runners-up play a tie-break on Dec 16, 2026 and the winner goes to the final. If the same club was runner-up in both, it goes straight in.

What does the Trofeo winner get?

An official title and a place in next year's Supercopa Argentina and Supercopa Internacional, under the same regulation.
