The 2027 format, step by step
- One tableAll 30 clubs play in one table, no zones, with a derby or an interzonal game every round.
- AperturaThe first 15 rounds. Then the best 16 play playoffs: first against the last qualifier, second against the second-to-last, and so on.
- ClausuraThe other 15 rounds. Everyone starts from zero and the playoffs decide the champion.
- Campeón de LigaThe club with the most points over the 30 rounds of the year.

Do promedios stay in 2027?
Per the LPF note, yes: relegation by promedios (relegation averages) and by points in the annual table stays. How many go down and which tournaments count is for the regulation to say; until then we assume the same as in 2026, with the window from Apertura 2025.
